Clutch Inspection

-Check for oil on old facings. Any oil leaks near the clutch must be repaired before installing the new parts.

-Check disc splines for wear. Uneven wear of the splines is a sign of misalignment. Check runout after reinstalling flywheel.

-Check input shaft for wear or nicks. Apply a light film of grease.

-Check bearing retainer(quill) for wear, nicks or scratches. The collar must slide freely. Lubricate lightly with grease. Lightly grease fork pivot and fork fingers.
