That you need to know is torque not horsepower

Higher horsepower has nothing to do with high torque. If you need a High Performance Clutch, all you need to know is the Torque capacity of your car.

This is a simple formula to calculate Torque:

Horse Power x 5250 ÷ MAX.RPM = ft lbs torque

Example: 250(HP) x 5250 ÷ 5000(MAX.RPM) = 262 ft lbs torque.

If you want a HP clutch that is up to the job, calculate the torque at maximun horsepower and increase this figure by 15%.

Example: 200(HP) x 5250 ÷ 6000(MAX.RPM) = 175 ft lbs increased by 15% = 201 ft lbs torque. Yoy need a clutch with this torque capacity: 201 ft lbs

If you want to know if our Performance Kit is right for your car, you need to Know the torque of your vehicle. Click on the "HP vs Torque button at the left side bars to see the formula to calculate it. Kit`s torque capacity is shown after each kit number. Torque in ft lbs
